Comments are currently halfway supported throughout Daisy:

* you can't mass-edit (browse, delete, edit) comments [[br]] * AFAIK, comments cannot be searched using the query language

Besides, the need to be an authenticated user to be able to leave comments somewhat diminishes the value of the Wiki comment facility.

However, should non-authenticated (guest) users be able to leave comments, then we need some spam fighting measures.

What about trackbacks, or comments by email? (even though the trackback protocol is essentially flawed from the perspective of spam protection)

I still keep wondering why we ever added comments to the core repo model rather than in a standalone database/service. Perhaps this is something we should reconsider for 2.0.
